Dr Peter Silbert

Dr Silbert completed his Neurology training through the Western Australian State Neurology training programme.  Post graduate fellowships were undertaken at the Mayo Clinic, in Rochester, Minnesota USA in the areas of Clinical Neurology and Neurophysiology (EMG, EEG and muscle relaxant injections between 1992 and 1994.  After returning to Perth in 1994 Dr Silbert worked as a Neurologist, Neurophysiologist and Epileptologist, in the private and public health system, moving fully to the private sector in April 2012.

He served as head of department of Neurology at Royal Perth Hospital (1999-2011), Western Australian State Director of Neurology (2008-2010), and Head of Neurology Services for Western Australia (2011-2012).  He is a Clinical Professor of Neurology (University of Western Australia) and is on the board of the Neurological Council of Western Australia.

His private practice is based around neurophysiology (EMG and EEG) and muscle relaxant injections, working closely with spinal and orthopaedic surgeons.
